The September 11 Memorial is expected to become one of the most popular attractions in New York, with up to 10,000 visitors a day. More than 66,000 people applied for visitor passes to the memorial in the first three days of reservations opening [this week]. A private ceremony for victims’ families is being held at the site on September 11, the 10th anniversary of the attacks. It opens to the public on September 12.
